New CSS and Update

Well, as the more vigilant among you may have noticed. I have updated my journal CSS. The last journal layout I whipped up rather rapidly, and as a result it looked pretty dire. Since then I have had time to collect my thoughts and steal ideas off other people. Hopefully the extra thought should be evident in the quality of both the design and coding. [Thanks to csjwcr for the inspiration]

In other news:
  • I'm progressing well with my degree course, I haven't really learnt anything that I didn't already know; other than the fact that most of my classmates are complete retards when it comes to anything design related.
  • I've resolved most of my internet related troubles through, a clever combination of smoke, mirrors and sawdust. As a result I am a much happier stableboy.
  • I'm getting more web work; thanks to a few friends.

So, I moved into my halls at uni on sunday, and have had to wait without internet until today. Now when I finally have it working, I have discovered that not only has GMail been disabled but MSN, AIM, Gtalk and the rest of them... how gay is that? Any suggestions on *cough* alternatives *cough* would be appreciated

A-levels / Uni / Freelance

So... I'm pretty busy at the moment, I've got numerous projects on-the-go, both freelance and personal. I should be posting a near to final version of bambambam.co.uk soon, I just need to sort a few problems out... like the fact that I dont have a proper logo yet. I'm finding it hard to create something that will go with the website I've put together. But I have a few new ideas so i'll see how those work out.

In other news; I've been on holiday in the south of France with my family (my last free holiday :crying:) for the past two weeks, so I missed the launch of the new dA, but from what I can see it is very much half finished; things like damn (which still doesn't work properly in safari) and the whole preferences section of the site havent been changed. This is a bit of a disappointment, but I'm sure they will be sorted out eventually.

[ realNEWS ]




So, I figured it was time for an update, I'm currently halfway through my final A-Level exams, they are really stressful (half of the problem is my teachers) I can't wait until they are all over, and I can start earning some dosh.

I've just finished flashifying MrFlurry's font site. This has been a really fun project to work on, bright yellow background and all:pills:. As well as that I am a fair way through the radiant skm-industries personal site Super Evil Design which is really helping me to push my actionscript knowledge (can't be a bad thing). The site is slow progress as obviously exams are a priority (sorry Dene).

I've finally settled and been accepted onto a degree course; Multimedia Technology at UCE but the course is actually postioned in the tic which is a 5 minute walk from the bullring. The course looks really cool, it mixes together Sound and Video capture / production, with copious amounts of flash, design and web development.
